Michael Henry, 30, has been charged with rape, robbery, kidnapping, aggravated assault, tampering or fabricating evidence, among 22 charges, according to his latest court docket.

As Daily Voice reported, Henry approached a woman in a car on 55th and Kingsessing Avenue around 3 a.m. on Oct. 13. He pointed a small black handgun at her and demanded money, according to her statement to the police. The woman gave Henry $20 before he ordered the woman to unlock the car doors, police said.

Henry got into the car and directed the victim to 49th and Saint Bernard streets, where he sexually assaulted her, authorities said. Henry then drove the woman to an ATM and told her to withdraw money, which she did. After receiving the money, Henry exited the vehicle and left the area.

The following day around 5 p.m., another woman said she was walking on 5100 Springfield Avenue when she approached 1100 S. Paxon Street, and a man later identified as Henry came up behind her. He pointed a silver handgun at her side, and demanded money, she told the police.

The woman gave the male $25 and some prescription medication. Then the man forced her into an alleyway in the rear of Paxon Street, where she was sexually assaulted, according to the police. He fled the area on foot in an unknown direction.

On Oct. 21, Henry was developed as a suspect through tips and surveillance footage, which Daily Voice previously shared.

He was taken into custody by 12th District Officers and brought to the Special Victims Unit.

Henry has a lengthy criminal record in Philadelphia and Delaware counties and was serving probation for terrorist threats at the time of these two assaults, court records show.

He remains in the Curran-Fromhold Correctional Facility after failing to post 10% in cash of his $2,000,000 bail, according to his court docket. His preliminary has been set before Judge Karen Y. Simmons at 8:30 a.m. on Nov. 8.
